Celebrating 30 Years of Independence

In August of 1983, Parkway Family Physicians opened our independent clinic at the corner of Snelling Avenue and Highland Parkway in Highland Park. The main goal was to provide patients highly personalized healthcare services in a patient-oriented environment.

We have seen a lot of changes in the world of medicine and healthcare over the past 30 years. However, one thing remains the same . . . our commitment to being independent family physicians.

Our independent approach benefits you by giving us the freedom to cater to you as an individual, to make decisions that are in your best interest and not having to conform to corporate structures, guidelines and a profit first mindset.

We have the freedom to send our patients who need surgery and other specialized medical procedures to facilities we know and trust to provide you with the very best treatment and care.

After 30 years we’ve learned that treating patients with compassion and dignity, spending more time with them and working together to provide the best healthcare solutions is the right approach.

Independence Matters . . . it provides us the freedom to specialize in you.

Patient Testimonials

“Dr. Ness has been taking good care of me since 1988. Last year I needed major shoulder surgery and he referred me to an orthopedic surgeon who had the same compassion and medical values as Dr. Ness. Major surgery is no picnic, but with the kind and caring support of Dr. Ness, my surgeon and the team at Woodwinds Health Campus, my recovery was faster than expected, I was able to start physical therapy sooner and get my life back to normal. I credit the success of my surgery and recovery to the relationship between Dr. Ness and I, and in him knowing not only my medical history, but knowing me as a person and providing the level of care based on that knowledge. By the way, the day after I returned home from the hospital, Dr. Ness called to see how things went and more importantly how I was doing.”
