It’s Time To Prevent Lyme Disease

As we start spending more time outdoors gardening, camping, hiking and other activities, you should make tick protection part of your outdoor plans.

Know where to expect ticks. Blacklegged ticks live in moist, humid environments like wooded or grassy areas. You may come in contact with ticks during outdoor activities around your home or walking through vegetation and shrubs. Repellents with DEET can be applied to the skin and provide several hours of protection.

Symptoms Of Lyme Disease

If you had a tick bite and observe any of these symptoms call us right away!
  • Early localized stage (3-30 days post-tick bite)
  • Red, expanding rash called erythema migrans (EM)
  • Fatigue, chills, fever, headache, muscle and joint aches, and swollen lymph nodes

Patient Testimonials

"The care provided by Parkway is exceptional. I know of no other clinic in the Twin Cities where the length of patient appointments is based on patient need, not on a prescribed, preset time slot.”
